  • AIMS :
  • Beginner level:
  • In the end of the session, you can speak a basic french.
  • You can understand simple and practical situations.
  • You can speak and understand if your interlocutor speaks slowly.

 

 

 

 

  • Intermediate level:
  • You can understand a standard language.
  • You can manage as a traveller.
  • You can speak and understand what you like.
  • You can give simple explanations on a project or an idea.
  • Advanced level:
  • You can understand a difficult text.
  • You can take part in a conversation about a general or a professional matter, and give arguments.

  • PROGRAM :
  • Our learning method is conforms to the description given by the European Commission.
  • It also emphasizes situational language skills in practical situations (telephone conversation, everyday life, professional situations, differents French regions, the French institutions, literature...)
  • Grammar, vocabulary, verbs are also studied in practical situations :
  • Radio news.
  • Newspaper articles.
  • At the market, in a shop.
  • Speak French, upgrade vocabulary and everyday French, broaden out cultural landscape through diferent workshops (cooking, trips in Vallée de Chevreuse, visiting Paris in small groups...).
  • The language courses are completed by activities in workshops or by visits in Paris and in the country.


  • Real situations, playroles...
  • Reading and understanding an information, speaking, writing a document in french.
  • Phonetics : in-depth work on specific pronunciation difficulties.
  • Individual evaluation.
  • Under preparation : test and degrees in French language (reading and writing) :
  • T.C.F. (Test de Connaissance du Français)
  • D.E.L.F. (Diplôme d'Etudes en Langues Française)
  • WORKING GROUPS :
  • Collective courses : 6 groups
  • each one dedicated to a level of French communication,
  • in Bures/Yvette or in Orsay
  • once or twice  a week
  • during French school period.
  • In addition, optional activities are proposed all along the year.
  • intensive French course dedicated to beginners (20 hours).
  • NOTE : Advanced level is dedicated to those who speak, write and read easily in French language.

  • Individual courses :
  • Intended for true beginner registered late during the present session in order to join quickly a collective course.
  • Or specific request (pronunciation difficulties, written expression, temporary collective course schedule unadequation, etc.).
  • Complementary distant teaching : weekly phone conversations
    plus written exercises through Internet.
