You've just arrived in France and you haven't any knowledge of French Language because you never learned it before.
ELEMENTARY GROUP or FALSE BEGINNER (A1 du CECR)
You have lived in France for a few months. You have taken French courses in your country. You know how to use familiar expressions such as "je voudrais une baguette et un pain s'il vous plait"- "Pardon, où sont les toilettes?"- "Vous avez des enfants?"
INTERMEDIATE GROUP (From A2 to B1)
You know how to respond to questions with a vendor or at market such as: "vous voulez combien de kilos de pommes de terre?"
You understand transportation information such as: "Ce train est direct pour Orsay, omnibus d'Orsay à Saint-Rémy-Les-Chevreuse. Attention à la marche en descendant!"....
The bus schedule, the "Menu du jour" at a restaurant.
You are able to have a simple conversation about the day and how it is going....
You are able to briefle describe your family, your studies, your work, your housing. You can write a post card and thank you note. You are able to give information and you can use time and comparison indicators.
ADVANCED GROUP (B2)
You understand the bulk of familiar subjects concerning work, school, free time, in televivion shows.You are able to read and understand texts relating to your work, describe elements, express feelings and wishes in a personal letter. You know what to do in the majority of situations during the course of a trip. You can interact in a conversation, express the reasons of you opinion and your plans, summarize the intrigue of a book or a film.
You are able to comfort someone, express joy, anger, impressions, and give advice while using the subjunctive, comparative, past and future tenses.
